Stone Creed Grove, ADF Wellspring Wellspring 2025 Schedule

Wellspring 2025 Schedule

All times are Eastern Daylight Time (GMT-4). For those attending the Annual Meeting remotely, please remember to adjust accordingly.

Thursday 5/22

1:30 PM Social Fire Lighting and Event Opening

This brief ritual consists of lighting the community fire that we will keep burning for the rest of the event, and offering welcome to all who have come from near and far to be present.

8:00 PM Opening Ritual led by Stone Creed Grove

Our first evening ritual is an opportunity for all present to connect with two beings who feature prominently in all of ADF’s rituals under many different names and forms: The Earth Mother, and the Gatekeeper. Done in ADF Core Order style, this ritual also allows us to experience the energy of the permanent idols of those figures carved by artist Sidney Bolam of Black Bear Grove.

Friday 5/23

8:45 AM Morning ritual at Community Altar

The morning ritual is a very short set of offerings and prayers to start off our day with a focus on the sacred. All are welcome to come.

10:00 AM Cei Seirith – TBA

11:30 AM Thexalon – Expanding your Rhythmic Palette
Musical rhythm is a universal idea throughout all human societies, both with some commonalities but also many cultural variations. This workshop will be an exploration of different rhythmic ideas that are less familiar to those whose musical experience has been mostly focused on Western European, West African, and North American musical traditions. Bring a drum if you’d like, or use your body and voice as your instrument.

2:00 PM BJ Swain – The Unfamiliar Familiar

For most of people, the spirit world is an uncanny and unfamiliar place. Learning to speak with it, learning to navigate it, can be difficult to unravel, especially when guided primarily by books. Familiar spirits can become guides who help us navigate our relationships with the spirit world. In this class we will explore some of the ways familiars can expand our access to the spirit world and to magic in general.
3:30 PM Rev. Ian Corrigan & Rev. Sue Parker-Wyndham – Druid Magic with the High One

A briefing for the evening ritual, including lore of the Goddess Brigid as well as a discussion of the structure of the special rite of blessing.

8:00 PM Ritual Honoring Brigid led by Rev. Ian Corrigan & Rev. Sue Parker-Wyndham

Cup, Hammer, and Harp – the Blessing Cauldron of Brigid. A rite of trance and magic, to call the power of the Three Brigids.

Saturday 5/24

8:45 AM Morning ritual at Community Altar

The morning ritual is a very short set of offerings and prayers to start off our day with a focus on the sacred. All are welcome to come.

10:00 AM Oleg Wildridge – Slavic Glagolitsa Oracle
While the Germanic tradition has Runes, the Hellenic has the Greek Letter Oracle, and the Irish tradition has Ogham, there is no widespread Slavic letter oracle. There are many Slavic-themed oracle decks and other forms of divination which are all useful but this lack of a letter oracle is bothersome if you are used to such systems and rely on them for divinatory revelations and conversations. Over the last few months of 2025, Oleg has developed a Slavic letter oracle using the Glagolitsa which was the first alphabet for any Slavic language. While its original use was for transliteration of Christian texts, it has been repurposed as a divination tool with help from the Baba Yaga. Having found each letter’s meaning in trance, it now should be spread and hopefully be a useful tool to any looking for a Slavic-centered divination system comparable to the other alphabetical divination systems.

11:30 AM Rev. Garrik Hamr – Rune Magic

Do you think of the runes as primarily a tool for divination? Think again! While these symbols certainly can be used in that way, they are a powerful tool for magical writing and workings with known traditions in both myth and historical usage. Garrik will show some of his techniques for using the runes in this way, drawing on the lore and modern practice.

1:00 PM People of the Purple Feather luncheon

People of the Purple Feather are a subgroup within ADF for LGBTQIA+ people. This is a chance to socialize and discuss experiences.

2:00 PM Avalon Caisidhe – Moon Water
Learn how to make and use Moon Water to use in your spiritual practices. With focus on intent, we will discuss exposing water to different Moon phases and the Sun to accomplish your magical goals.

4:30 PM – 5:30 PM ADF Annual Meeting

Sunday 5/25

8:45 AM Morning ritual at Community Altar

The morning ritual is a very short set of offerings and prayers to start off our day with a focus on the sacred. All are welcome to come.

10:00 AM Wren Martell – Invoking Brighid for Art

Art is an intrinsically meditative and magical process. With so much focus on Brighid this Wellspring, we will invoke the lady of the anvil in the crafting of some magical art. Beginning with an explanation of ways art can be used in magic and its purpose in a practice, instruction which will end with a prayer for skillful crafting and good workings, then finishing with time and space for participants to create magical artworks of their own.

11:30 AM Cei Serith – TBA

1:00 PM Artisan’s Guild Gallery Showing

The Artisan’s Guild brings works from across ADF’s membership to Wellspring for display. Engage with these skilled and innovative pieces in a wide variety of media such as painting, drawing, fiber, sculpture, and diorama. The public may also vote on what they consider best in show. Wine and cheese will be served.

Chenille Canopy luncheon
The Chenille Canopy is a long-standing informal group within ADF for women and female-presenting non-binary people, created as a safe space for socializing and discussion without men present. They meet every Wellspring Gathering, as well as having separate retreats and gatherings throughout the year.

2:00 PM BJ Swain – Pagan Exorcism: Considering Conjuration Without Christianity

Two issues often arise for Pagans who are looking towards magic and sorcery while wanting to engage these practices in a traditional, educated way while remaining true to their religious leanings. The first is that the Polytheist movement tends not to explore magic particularly deeply. The second is that most readily available magic is either very modern or very Christian. In this class we will look at how we can explore conjuration and sorcery within a Pagan world.

3:30 PM Arlechina Verdigris – Living Mediterranean Trance Traditions

Explore some of the unbroken living trance traditions of Europe and North Africa. Learn what they are about, what gods and spirits are involved, and how they might help you along your own path.

Talieson Govannon – The Digital Bard: Pagan Self-Publishing for Everyone

Whether you’re an aspiring author, avid reader, or dedicated scholar, the dream of writing and publishing a book is one countless people have had through the years since Johannes Gutenberg first printed his infamous bible. And yet financial barriers, publishing trends, and countless other decidedly un-creative factors have made that dream an impossible one for all but a few. Taliesin will go over just how simple, and profitable, self-publishing can be in the twenty-first century, and why more and more authors are bypassing traditional publishing entirely and going it alone.

7:00 PM Pre-Ritual Briefing and Gathering of the Folk

8:00 PM Archdruid Installation & Sumbel led by ADF Clergy Council

In this rare ritual, ADF will be doing the spiritual work of installing the Seventh Archdruid of ADF, Rev. Jan Avende. Offerings will be made to the spirits that support their work, proper honoring given to the past, present, and future of the organization and the work of our druidry. With oaths and omens, our new Archdruid officially takes on the leadership role in the organization with the task of shepherding it forward.

Following the ritual, there will be a sumbel, an opportunity for those who wish to give toasts, boast of their accomplishments, and make oaths before their community. It is recommended that if you intend to take an oath, you work with experienced community members such as clergy to ensure that your oath is organized appropriately in advance.

Monday 5/26

9:00 AM Farewell Blessing / Closing Ritual

In the interests of making it easier for those with long journeys ahead to participate before they have to leave, we will start the day off with our closing ritual. Meet at the Community Altar to have one final sacred goodbye and turn our attention back to secular activities.
