Author Diana Paxson has been a distinguished novelist and pagan priestess for 40 years. She helped with the early formation of ADF, and remains a lifetime member of the organization. She has been a leading figure in anti-racist heathenry and asatru, including serving as Steerswoman of the Troth from 1999-2002, and continuing to run their clergy training program. She also was a founder of the Society for Creative Anachronism, which started at her home in northern California. Her published works include Taking up the Runes, a detailed guide to learning the Elder Futhark runes, Essential Asatru, a guide to modern Norse pagan religion, and Odin: Ecstacy, Runes, and Norse Magic, a deep look into one of the most complex deities of the Norse pantheon.
Writer and druid priest John Beckett is a Druid graduate in the Order of Bards, Ovates, and Druids (OBOD), a leader in the Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans (CUUPS), and has been part of ADF for 6 years. His blog, Under the Ancient Oaks, is updated every 2-3 days. His published works include The Path of Paganism, which walks newer seekers as well as experienced hands through developing a devotional Pagan practice, and Paganism in Depth: A Polytheist Approach, which digs into some of the issues that are experienced by those who have been following Pagan practices for a while.
We also expect a wide variety of presentations from within ADF.
Wellspring will be held via Zoom. Zoom is available for Windows, Apple, and many Linux desktops, as well as on iPhone and Android phones. It is also possible to connect audio-only by calling specified phone numbers. New Zoom access information will be provided each morning of the festival.
