As the wheel of the year continues to turn we find ourselves at the end of the Harvest season, hinging on Winter. As the world around us dies and falls into winter slumber, we turn our thoughts to those who have passed beyond our world as people in ancient times did. In this season, the Veil Between the Worlds is thin and we can connect with our Ancestors and Beloved Dead more readily.
Stone Creed Grove celebrates this High Day in the traditional Irish Celtic hearth-culture, honoring the Irish deities The Morrigan and Donn. We also honor our Ancestors of Heart and Kin- those who walked through this life with us as friends and family, those whose work has inspired us, and those whose lives helped to create our lives- with special mention to those who have passed within the last year.
This celebration will include a portion of the ritual at Tredara’s Ancestor Mound which contains the remains and mementos of many of our Beloved Dead.
This rite will be a hybrid event, occurring both via Zoom, and in-person for those fully vaccinated.
