SUMMARY:Yule 2022 Ritual
DESCRIPTION:We are now in the time of winter\, where snow is beginning to be upon us\, but the folk are safe indoors happily enjoying the fruits of their fall harvest. For the peoples of Scandanavia\, this time not only was full of darkness\, cold\, and snow\, but also marked the beginning of the sacred year and a celebration that life had not left this world. It is for this reason that evergreens and holly become common decorations in our homes and in our rites.\nThis is our biggest Norse rite of the year\, and heathen folk are of course welcome along with the rest of the general public. Come anytime after 2 PM for fellowship\, discussions\, and helping out with setup.\nSome specific customs that you might want to plan for in advance:\n– Oaths: There will be an opportunity to make personal oaths on a boar’s head. Consider what vow – if any – you would like to make.\n– Gift exchange: $5-10 value. Specify an appropriate age for the gift: Under-12\, 12+\, or if it is a 21+ beverage label it as such. Children’s gifts are distributed separately from adult and teen gifts.\n– Feasting: As usual\, we hold a potluck feast after the rite. Please bring a dish for 8-10 people to share.\n– Group singing: The Stone Creed caroling and wassailing songbooks come out for musical fun led by our bards.\n– More group singing: We include in the rite a choral version of The Boar’s Head Carol. If you’re interested in singing it\, download the sheet music.

DESCRIPTION:Imbolg is the time of year where the sun is starting to return to the world\, and the coldest days are behind us. In this time\, current scholarship suggests that the ancient Celts offered to the gods of their hearth to keep away hunger and illness until life could once again return to the land.\nStone Creed Grove will continue our tradition of honoring Brigid\, the Celtic goddess of the hearth\, healing\, and inspiration. SUMMARY:Community Service Project: Spirit Apotheosis Move
DESCRIPTION:Spirit Apotheosis\, a pagan-oriented store in Bedford\, OH\, is moving to a new larger location and wants some assistance. Their efforts on behalf of the pagan community in metro Cleveland include organizing the annual Cleveland Pagan Pride and hosting Stone Creed Grove’s monthly first Friday blessing rites.\n\nThey are looking for a crew to assist them with that\, especially the bigger furniture items like glass cases and shelving. Stone Creed Grove has offered to provide some volunteers to help them.\n\nAs with all Stone Creed Grove events\, be vaccinated\, have a mask ready to go\, and if you feel sick consider skipping this. We don’t want anybody winding up in the hospital!\n\nAlso\, if you are able to attend\, please indicate that sooner rather than later so we know how many people we should plan for.

Feel free to bring a candle or magical item (necklace\, divination set\, etc.) that you wish to have blessed during the ritual for good-intentioned magical purposes.\nAs with all Stone Creed events\, this ritual is open to all and admission is free. \nWe are excited to be back at Spirit Apotheosis for our monthly Blessing Rites!\nThis rite will be a hybrid event\, occurring both via Zoom\, and in-person (at Spirit Apotheosis!!) for those fully vaccinated.\nPLEASE NOTE! We are moving our Blessing Rite start time up an hour- gather time will now be 7:00pm\, with ritual starting at 7:30pm. We look forward to seeing you there!

DESCRIPTION:****Please read- updated 12/18/2021****\nConcerning Our Yuletide Rite\, and Covid:\nIn the face of the sudden and surprising surge in post-Thanksgiving covid cases SCG is emphasizing our own safety protocols for Sunday’s gathering. Here are the rules under which we will operate:\n1: Fully Vaccinated only\, please. We reserve the right to check your vaccination record card – please have it with you. We hope to see booster records for those further than 6-months from their vax date\, but the rule is ‘fully vaccinated’\, prior to boosters.\n2: Masking will be enforced indoors\, and masks will be available if needed. We will refrain from group singing\, as a particularly risky activity.\n3: The Feast following the rite will be ‘picnic’ style – bring your own meal. This avoids the social distancing difficulties of potlucking.\nFor those who cannot attend under these rules we will present the rite on-line in our usual pandemic fashion\, via Zoom.\nWith care and mutual respect we can still gather at the Fire to see in the Rising Light.\n***********************************\n\n\nWe are now in the time of winter\, where snow is beginning to be upon us\, but the folk are safe indoors happily enjoying the fruits of their fall harvest. For the peoples of Scandanavia\, this time not only was full of darkness\, cold\, and snow\, but also marked the beginning of the sacred year and a celebration that life had not left this world. It is for this reason that evergreens and holly become common decorations in our homes and in our rites.\nThis is our biggest Norse rite of the year\, and heathen folk are of course welcome along with the rest of the general public.
